Pharmaceutical and biological properties of Stachys species: A review

The genus Stachys includes about 300 cosmopolitan species, making it one of the largest genera Lamiaceae family. purpose this paper is to present a review species in flora Serbia among which some are endemic Balkan Peninsula. This comprises morphological, phytochemical, medicinal and food application 17 taxa: S. аlopecuros, аlpina, аnisochila, аnnua, аtherocalyx, cretica subsp. cassia, germanica, leucoglossa, milanii, officinalis, palustris, plumose, recta, tymphaea, scardica, serbica, sylvatica. rich sources biologically active substances well known for their worldwide application.
